Life Academy | Practical Life Skills for Every Age | Careers Gurujii
Life Academy • Lifelong Learning

There is always something worth learning.

Practical learning for living, managing, connecting and growing — at every stage of life.

There are things we need to learn that do not always fit neatly into school subjects, college degrees or professional courses. Life Academy is a practical school for those things — for children learning independence, adults managing responsibility, and elders staying connected, confident and curious.

Not therapy. Not motivational speeches. Practical learning for everyday life, relationships, confidence, capability and continued growth.

Life Academy turns important life lessons into small, practical learning experiences.
One Academy. Different stages of life.

School students • Young adults • Parents • Working adults • Entrepreneurs • Retired & older adults

Why Life Academy?

Because every age has its own learning needs.

The idea is not to teach everyone the same “life skills”. A 12-year-old, a 35-year-old parent and a 70-year-old learner may all need confidence — but the meaning of confidence is different at each stage.

01 — SCHOOL YEARS

Learning to become independent

Beyond marks: helping young people build everyday capability and healthy learning habits.

  • Communication & confidence
  • Time & routine management
  • Decision-making
  • Digital responsibility
  • Money awareness
  • Relationships & empathy
02 — ADULT LIFE

Learning to manage life

Work, family, money, technology and personal goals can compete for attention. Practical learning can bring structure.

  • Discipline & consistency
  • Time & priority management
  • Financial awareness
  • Communication & relationships
  • Digital confidence
  • Career & life planning
03 — LATER LIFE

Learning to stay connected

Learning does not have an expiry date. Older adults can benefit from digital, creative, social and purposeful learning.

  • Digital literacy & online safety
  • Financial & fraud awareness
  • Health-information navigation
  • Creative learning
  • Social connection
  • Purpose & active ageing

The needs behind the idea

Sometimes the problem is not lack of intelligence. It is lack of practice.

People often know what they should do — but knowing and doing are different skills.

“I know I should be consistent.”
“I want to communicate better.”
“I want to use my phone confidently.”
“I want to learn something new.”

Life Academy turns these everyday needs into small learning experiences where people can understand an idea, practise it and take it back into real life.

✓

Students: self-management, communication, confidence, critical thinking and responsible independence.

✓

Adults: routines, priorities, money awareness, relationships, work-life capability and digital confidence.

✓

Elders: digital inclusion, safety, social connection, creative learning and purposeful engagement.

Our signature format

One-Day Schooling — ODS.

One day. One important theme. One useful change to take home.

ODS is not meant to replace formal education. It is a compact learning format for subjects that people often postpone because they are “important, but not urgent”.

Each ODS programme can be designed around a specific age group and need — with short teaching, discussion, practice, reflection and a simple personal action plan.

A good ODS day should leave the learner with something more valuable than notes: a small capability they can actually use.

The Life Academy curriculum

What should a person learn for life?

These are not “subjects” in the traditional sense. They are capability areas that can be taught differently at different ages.

01 — SELF

Self-Awareness & Confidence

Know yourself, recognise strengths, manage self-talk and build healthy confidence.

02 — HABITS

Discipline & Consistency

Turn intention into routine. Learn how small systems and repetition can make action easier.

03 — TIME

Time, Focus & Energy

Prioritise, reduce distraction, build focus and organise a realistic day.

04 — COMMUNICATION

Communication & Relationships

Listen, speak clearly, express needs, handle disagreement and build respectful relationships.

05 — THINKING

Critical Thinking & Decisions

Ask better questions, compare options and make more informed everyday decisions.

06 — DIGITAL LIFE

Digital Confidence & Safety

Use devices, online services and digital communication with confidence and caution.

07 — MONEY

Money Awareness

Learn everyday money decisions, budgeting, digital payments, scams and long-term thinking.

08 — WELLBEING

Healthy Living & Balance

Build practical habits around rest, movement, routines and stress awareness; seek professional help when needed.

09 — PURPOSE

Purpose, Contribution & Growth

Explore meaning, creativity, service, relationships and ways to remain engaged through life.

Program ideas

Small programmes for real-life moments.

Instead of one huge “Life Skills Course”, Life Academy can grow through focused experiences people can enter when they actually need them.

For families

Life Academy can become a family learning space.

Sometimes the most useful change happens when parents and children learn a language for the same problem together.

Parent + Child

Shared experiences around communication, routines, digital habits, money awareness and responsible independence.

  • Family communication
  • Healthy routines
  • Digital boundaries
  • Learning habits

Adult + Elder

Learning can also reduce the digital and generational gap — supporting independence without taking over.

  • Digital confidence
  • Online safety
  • Financial awareness
  • Social connection

Family Learning Days

A practical day where different generations work on one shared life theme and take home a simple action plan.

  • Communication
  • Digital life
  • Money awareness
  • Purpose & contribution
Why this matters in India

Life skills are not a luxury outside education.

India's education ecosystem increasingly recognises life skills, adult learning, continuing education and digital inclusion as legitimate learning needs.

India's adult-education framework includes “Critical Life Skills”, vocational skill development and continuing education alongside foundational literacy and basic education.

What Life Academy is not

We want the promise to stay honest.

Life Academy should never become another place that promises to “fix your life” in one day.

One day can create a new understanding.
Practice creates the change.
✓

Not a replacement for school, college or professional education.

✓

Not psychotherapy, medical treatment or a substitute for qualified professional care.

✓

Not motivational shouting or unrealistic promises.

✓

A practical learning space where people can understand, practise and take small actions.

People of different ages learning together
The Life Academy idea

There is always something worth learning.

At 8, you are learning how to become independent. At 28, you may be learning how to manage responsibility. At 68, you may be learning how to stay connected to a changing world.

Different age. Different lesson. Same human need to keep growing.

Learn something usefulNot everything has to become a certificate.
Practise something realUnderstanding becomes capability through use.
Stay connectedLearning can bring people, generations and communities together.
Keep growingEducation does not have an age limit.
